That Sudden Elbow Ache That Ruins a Good Swing

I started noticing the pain after a long week of hitting balls at the range, trying to fix my slice by overcompensating on my swing. At first it felt like a little pinch on the inside of my elbow, and I ignored it thinking it was just normal soreness.

I’ve been through almost the exact same situation, especially after switching to more indoor practice sessions where I was hitting more balls in a short period of time. My elbow started feeling tight and sore on the inside, and I realized it wasn’t just normal muscle fatigue but actual irritation of the tendons from overuse. I found a helpful resource called golf simulator elbow pain that explained how common this is for golfers and what can help. I started doing short warm-ups focusing on my forearms and wrists, eased up on my grip so I wasn’t holding the club like I was trying to crush it, and split my practice into smaller sessions with breaks in between. Light stretching and simple forearm exercises became part of my routine, and I also made sure to listen to my body instead of pushing through pain. It took a few weeks, but the discomfort finally started fading and my swings felt smoother and more controlled. Now I can hit balls for longer without worrying that I’ll flare it up again, and honestly, being cautious has made me enjoy practice more because I’m not constantly distracted by that nagging elbow ache.
