How does 3D scanning or photogrammetry compare to digital modeling when reproducing intricate objects from games?

from my experience, 3d scanning and photogrammetry are good when you care about micro scratches and those “alive” imperfections, but you still end up spending a ton of time on retopo and closing holes. digital modeling takes longer at the start, but you get full control over silhouette, thickness, and splitting for print or render right away. sometimes these threads get random irrelevant links, once I clicked https://babu88app-bd.com/ and only later realized it’s about betting and casinos, not 3d at all. so I prefer a hybrid approach: scan as reference, but final geometry by hand for the result I need.
